I’ve been carving for three years. I like carving because it’s a hands-on activity and it keeps me occupied. My favorite type of stone to work with is Italian Alabaster and Jade because of the colours in them. I like carving animals and people. I learned to carve by spending time with my mentor and I’m still learning new things. I would like to continue carving because it is something I enjoy doing between jobs.
